In October, Digital Energy Journal holds its 8th Kuala Lumpur forum looking at how we can improve exploration and well management through better use of data.

With speakers this year from Brunei Shell, Exxon Mobil, JX Nippon Oil and Gas, Accenture, Energistics, Flare Solutions among others.

Topics include cloud based applications, data toolboxes, collaborative projects, reducing information overload, data standards, machine learning, smart dashboards for wells data quality, and analytics for chemical usage.

Philip Lesslar is chairman of the first day of the forum and co-producer of the conference.

Glenn has worked in the oil and gas industry since 1987, and now provides consulting services through Flare Solutions. Flare’s focus is Information Management for Oil and Gas.

Glenn has worked on a wide range of projects providing information management strategy, knowledge management, procedures and standards development, change management and solution deployment to an international client base. Glenn's original discipline experience was in petroleum engineering and production operations, and he was also heavily involved in corporate database systems whilst working in BG E&P.
