BB Visual acquires OilTeams

BB Visual Group of Bergen has acquired OilTeams, a company based in Milan which provides WITSML tools for well monitoring.

BB Visual Group provides a range of services around visualising data, and a software suite for collaborative application sharing and well planning.

BB Visual Group's strategy is to "position itself as a total value-added solutions provider in the oil and gas sector," says chairman and CEO Magne Arne Brekke.

Altogether, companies in the BB Visual Group now include:

Visual Development AS, developers of software technologies for implementing 'many to many' collaboration work processes;

Visual Acuity Ltd., consultants, designers project managers of complex technology integrations for control centers, collaboration centers and training facilities,

And now OilTeams SRL, providing WITSML tools and services for well monitoring, to optimise drilling and related activities.

BB Visual aims to combine the gather gathering capability of OilTeams with its own solutions for working with the data.

OilTeams produces the "WellWired" software for real time well data management, with tools for data aggregation, capture, storage, sharing and transmission, graphical visualization, and event detection.
