Bret Shanahan appointed president of Roxar

Bret Shanahan has been appointed president of the Roxar business unit of Emerson Process Management.

Mr Shanahan was previously managing director of Roxar's instrumentation division, "Roxar Flow Management".

Mr Shanahan has worked for 22 years in engineering, operations, sales, and management in the areas of flow technologies and instrumentation, predominantly within Emerson's Rosemount business unit.

'The Roxar business unit and its innovative reservoir management solutions are absolutely central to Emerson's vision of a fully automated production lifecycle from downhole in the reservoir right through to the transmission, refining and production of goods,' said Larry Irving, vice president of the oil and gas industry for Emerson Process Management.
