Emerson / Roxar celebrate 25 years of downhole monitoring

Friday, August 3, 2012

Roxar, and its parent company Emerson, are celebrating 25 years of selling downhole monitoring equipment.

The company's first Permanent Downhole Monitoring System (PDMS) was installed on Statoil's Gullfaks A field in 1987.

Since then nearly 1,400 Roxar downhole gauges have been installed, the company says.

The company makes tools to measure downhole temperature, pressure and flow information.

Its gauges can operate in temperatures up to 225 degrees C.

You can install up to 32 instruments on a single cable.
