PIDX adds two new members to Board of Directors

Petroleum Industry Data Exchange, Inc. (PIDX International) announced it has elected two new members to its board of directors.

Christian Garcia, Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer for Halliburton, and Nils Røynstrand, Chief Consultant in Operational Supply Chain Processes for Statoil ASA, have joined the PIDX International's board effective July 16, 2014.

'In January, we set out to attract the very best, most talented leaders to PIDX International's already outstanding board,' said Fadi Kanafani, President and CEO of PIDX International. 'Mr. Garcia and Mr. Røynstrand bring tremendous eBusiness, supply chain management, finance, strategic and operational leadership and experience to the table. I am confident they will make a significant contribution in supporting PIDX International's strategies of serving the eBusiness needs of the oil and gas industry, building value for our member companies, and accelerating the adoption of PIDX standards.'

'Since 2001, Halliburton has supported and helped drive PIDX standards development and adoption,' said Christian Garcia, Halliburton Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer. 'Halliburton has realized the value of PIDX International-enabled eBusiness integration in lowering Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and leveraging our ERP investment. Joining the PIDX Board of Directors elevates Halliburton's commitment to the PIDX International mission.'

Mr. Garcia is responsible for the Halliburton's global accounting activities including financial and management reporting; operations finance; planning and analysis; and accounting services. He has a bachelor's degree from the University of the Philippines and a master's degree in business from Purdue University.

'PIDX International has been a leader in eBusiness standards development,' said, Nils Røynstrand, Statoil ASA Chief Consultant in Operational Supply Chain Processes. 'This along with a diverse membership base, global reach and visionary leadership make the organization a strong value contributor to oil and gas supply chain. Mr. Røynstrand is a top-level advisor across processes within core strategic competence areas. Røynstrand holds a civil engineering degree from Bergen Ingeniørhøyskole and an MBA from Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration (NHH).
