Paul Tooms joins the WFS Advisory Board

WFS Technology Ltd (http://www.wfs-tech.com) announces the appointment of Paul Tooms to the company's Advisory Board. Paul has accumulated a wealth of expertise in a long and distinguished career in the Oil & Gas industry.

Paul studied mechanical engineering at Imperial College, London. After a brief spell working in diesel engine manufacture he joined BP as a drilling engineer, clocking up 25 years across BP Upstream before being appointed to Head of Subsea Discipline in 2005.

He took over as Head of Engineering for BP Upstream in 2009, and was made a Distinguished Advisor in 2012 in recognition of his problem solving accomplishments.

He retired from BP in 2014 and now works as a consultant, addressing complex issues, troubleshooting and providing industry advice. He is also a director of The Welding Institute.

Paul comments, 'I am deeply impressed with the technologies that WFS has developed, and I see several subsea applications to significantly reduce costs and increase production'
