Sercel completes delivery of largest UNITE system to date

Sercel announced the completed delivery and field deployment of a 39,000-channel UNITE cable-free land seismic acquisition system. The customer is a major international geophysical contractor and the system is being deployed on a large high-production Vibroseis survey in the north of Mexico. The project calls for 3D-3C acquisition and the system is configured with Sercel's latest RAUeX-3 field units.

The customer chose the UNITE system for this project not only because it will provide the high levels of production expected from today's cable-free seismic acquisition technology but also because it will meet their client's requirements for daily QC of the whole spread and rapid delivery of SEG-D data to the field processors. Given the high levels of production required and the large volume of data being shot on this project, UNITE remains unique in that it is the only acquisition system available on the market that allows all data to be harvested and delivered for field processing, without the need for transcription, within 24 to 48 hours of acquisition.
