Vesta and Veros oil and gas SAP partnership

Friday, October 26, 2012

Software company Veros Systems has announced a tie-up with consulting company Vesta Partners, to offer predictive intelligence tools for oil and gas machinery running over SAP.

Veros Systems makes a software tool which can continuously monitor electric machines to detect developing problems, and can give a warning of developing faults of anomalies which could lead to a machine failure. The software continuously analyses electrical waveforms for evidence of electromechanical faults and inefficiencies.

The announcement was made at the AP Best Practices for Oil and Gas event in San Antonio on October 22nd.

Vesta Partners will build an interface between the Veros software and SAP. This will enable users of Vesta software to access SAP modules, including HANA for enterprise predictive analytics, Syclo for mobility in field maintenance operations, and Ariba for spare parts sourcing.

"Vesta's extensive expertise with SAP Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) combined with Veros Software will address a critical issue within our industry," says Allan Wilson, CEO of Veros Systems.

"Together we will provide real time accurate and actionable knowledge of what is actually happening inside mission critical electrically driven assets.

This solution will provide early warning on problems developing in assets that impact reliability and energy sustainability, which will allow customers to be proactive and ensure continued operations at optimum capacity."

Improved management of physical assets has been cited as the single largest business improvement opportunity in the 21st century, Veros Systems says.
