Wood Group Intetech embarks on well integrity roadshow

Thursday, March 5, 2015

Wood Group Intetech (WG Intetech) is embarking on a tour of Asia Pacific to speak to well integrity leaders about a global database for well reliability. The roadshow will take place from the 2nd - 10th March 2015.

WG Intetech believes that the oil & gas industry needs to take a more quantitative approach to analysing component data to ensure safe decision-making across wells in operation, currently totalling more than one million live assets. WG Intetech are the firm that developed iQRA, a new software platform for analysing global well component reliability data.

Founder and Managing Director, Dr Liane Smith, will make three stops on the roadshow: Brisbane, Australia on the 2nd - 4th March, Perth, Australia 5th - 6th March and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from the 9th - 10th March.

Dr Smith commented; 'Wood Group Intetech has been delivering well integrity solutions for over a decade and we have a proven track record for delivering top quality information to support strategic decision making. We truly believe the industry will benefit from a performance database of well components. Reliability information on the status of safety-critical well barrier components must be completely dependable, while the real performance of these components must be known with confidence. I'm really looking forward to the opportunity of discussing this vision with my industry peers in March.'
