Doing more with offshore engineering data

project information management, managing the transition from the FEED to operations stage

Organised by Digital Energy Journal

Wednesday, November 27, 2013, Aberdeen, Doubletree by Hilton Hotel Aberdeen Treetops

I would like to invite you to register for our "Doing more with offshore engineering data" event in Aberdeen on November 27th, a meeting place for document managers, engineering data warehouse co-ordinators, technical authorities, reliability engineers, IM data and IS specialists, to share experiences about what works and what doesn't with managing the growing tsunami of offshore data.

We have speakers from BP, Shell (consultant), AMEC, Worley Parsons, AVEVA, Opentext, Siemens and Amtech Group, talking about what works and what doesn't with project information management, managing the transition from the FEED to operations stage, gathering engineering and supplier data, improving your capability maturity, challenges for EPCs, and maximising the value of your data.

By attending you will be able to learn from the experiences of your colleagues about what works and what doesn't, if your role is to build and maintain a data management infrastructure for data and documents relating to offshore operations.

Admission is free of charge - places are limited - please reserve yours now!

Please also see our event in Aberdeen on the following day, reducing complexity in supply chain management

This event follows our March 2013 event "Improving offshore facilities management, operations and maintenance" (see the agenda and delegates list) and our May 2013 event "Improving offshore design decision making" (see the agenda and delegates list).

We hope to see you in Aberdeen on November 27

Kind regards

Optimizing Enterprise Asset Management processes: Achieving a higher level of capability maturity and compliance

Talk Description.
Co presented with Gerald Hecker, Sales and Business Development Manager, CGI

Optimizing Enterprise Asset Management requires much more than just master data management and maintenance management. It requires the orchestration of various activities, information and processes across: engineering; operations and maintenance; health, safety and environment (HSE); materials management, supply chain management; and external EPCM contractors and suppliers.

In this session, we will apply the capability maturity model to Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) to illustrate best practices and a road map for organizations to elevate their production and operations from level 1 (managed) to level 5 (optimized).

Case studies for Plant Maintenance and Well File Management will illustrate how energy companies in the Utilities and Oil & Gas sectors are achieving immediate results through increased control, compliance and in-process collaboration in their asset management and related processes.

Practical Demo on utilising a 3D Model to manage and monitor integrity data

Talk Description.
The purpose of this presentation is to show the benefits of using the 3D CAD model for post design data management and retrieval. This opens many opportunities for activities such as commissioning, maintenance, health and safety, and even supply chain management.

I will be demonstrating the solution to a client’s request to identify all the welds on a steam system that have not been tested. The results were surprising and demonstrates how a graphical interface with linked documents, and added data, can be practically used to solve a variety of integrity problems.
Peter has over thirty years' experience in the oil and gas industry covering Petrochemical, Onshore and Offshore oil and gas alongside expertise experience in engineering and construction.

Peter has been able to extend his expertise outside the UK to regions in the Middle and Far East. His experience focuses on engineering design and construction in particular CAD design, as built engineering and integrity management.

In 1996, Peter set up his own company, ArtrA which consisted of developing software to improve engineering data management and to interface across CAD design modelling, document management and integrity management, for example: corrosion monitoring.

ArtrA has recently been acquired by Amtech Group Ltd to help develop the software to the next level and to ensure the software is utilised across a range of industries within the construction and engineering industry.

The software is called ArtrA and is based around the NavisWorks software which seamlessly interfaces with all major cad packages.

For the last 10 years ArtrA has been used in many industries including petrochemicals, oil and gas, nuclear, building services and power and utilities.
