Malaysia's oil and gas digital technology leaders met in KL in October 2018 for the 7th Digital Energy Journal forum, organised together this year with MDEC, the Malaysian Digital Economy Corporation, with speakers from PETRONAS, MOGSC, Bumi Armada, Cairn India and NOEX Exploration.

We aimed to help explain and further understanding about the complex digital world and where the business benefits are.

Our first day - agenda below - will look at how companies are using digital technology to improve their overall profitability - including safety and efficiency - including how they manage exploration data, determine where to drill, manage production and manage facilities.

The second day will look at how the oil and gas industry is providing many opportunities for people with data science and digital technology expertise, to be part of these efforts to take the industry further.

But I’m sure you all remember the phrase “garbage in, garbage out”.
