Common Data Access
CDA is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Oil & Gas UK. The company was established by industry in 1995 with the aim of sharing the costs and importantly also the benefits associated with managing subsurface Exploration and Production data through collaborative working. CDA is funded independently of Oil & Gas UK from annual subscription income received from more than 55 operating companies. Other participating organisations include DECC, academia and several service companies.

System provides gateway to streamline industry’s access to subsurface data
Common Data Access (CDA), the Oil & Gas UK subsidiary responsible for managing and providing the subsurface data which underpins the industry''s exploration and production activities on the UK Continental Shelf (UKCS), is streamlining access to its services by launching UKOilandGasData.com. The new interface provides users with a single gateway to all the information previously sourced separately from DEAL, (Digital Energy Atlas and Library) the online resource for information and data on the UKCS, and from CDA''s Well and Seismic DataStores.

Common Data Access Limited (CDA), the UK oil and gas industry's shared data management service which delivers subsurface information to exploration and production companies, is leading an international project to pilot a web-based competency profiling system aimed at achieving professional recognition for the data management discipline.
