Standards Leadership Council
In early 2012, the executive leaders from eight of the most crucial standards organizations in the E&P Industry came together to form the Standards Leadership Council. Their objectives were to work collaboratively to identify areas of intersection to avoid creating duplicate or conflicting standards, find opportunities for synergy, better deliver the value proposition message for standards implementation and ensure maximum member benefits through participation in standards organizations.
Standards Leadership Council announces European Public Forum
The Standards Leadership Council (SLC) has announced that they will hold their European Public Forum on Wednesday, 29 April 2015 in Stavanger, Norway at the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD). This year's theme is on facilities management. Robert Skaar, Statoil, will be the keynote speaker and he will discuss 'Putting the Focus on Facilities Asset Lifecycle: Design, Construction, Commissioning and Operations'.

Standards Leadership Council forum
On Wednesday, 31 July 2013 the Standards Leadership Council runs a forum hosted by the China National Institute of Standardization in Beijing. There will be a full day of presentations and panel discussions on how open standards are making integrated operations more efficient in the oilfield.
