Talk Description. AVEVA defines the Digital Asset as the information equivalent of the entire physical asset. A validated and navigable aggregation of all types of information, the Digital Asset continuously reflects the true status of the physical asset as it evolves throughout its life cycle.
By providing rapid access to all types of trustworthy and contextualised information, the Digital Asset is a powerful tool for all aspects of Asset Life Cycle Management. This presentation illustrates how the Digital Asset can support a wide range of operational activities, enabling high-quality and timely decision making throughout the asset's life cycle. This helps asset owners and operators to reduce operational risk, increase productivity and maintain regulatory compliance, while saving costs and increasing return on investment through increased efficiency. |

Talk Description. The convergence of new technologies and methods is disrupting traditional business models. For decades now, 3D plant design has been on a steady adoption curve in the industry , slowly transforming engineering from a document-based paradigm to what it is today – information-based, intelligent modelling. The principle challenges to realizing the full potential of this intelligent, information driven enterprise has been how to keep the models up-to-date, while efficiently managing the flow of information across the value chain – from suppliers, to EPCM contractors, to the owner-operators and back to field services companies - through the life of the physical asset. Learn how a digital supply chain and master data governance can streamline and transform your business |

In his 5th year with IDS, Douwe has been instrumental in migrating traditional desktop and Excel based functions to the web and allowing universal access to operational data. Before joining IDS he spent 18 years with a Halliburton company focusing on Real Time data acquisition and transmission. Combined with the time spent with BosKalis a world leading Dutch dredging company, his career has relocated him to almost every continent, including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UK, Malaysia, USA and Canada. The IT side of the industry has always fascinated him as a lot of the elements, including connectivity, are never following the accepted norm, which challenges those who implement solutions for clients to have to think outside the box.

Peter has over thirty years' experience in the oil and gas industry covering Petrochemical, Onshore and Offshore oil and gas alongside expertise experience in engineering and construction.
Peter has been able to extend his expertise outside the UK to regions in the Middle and Far East. His experience focuses on engineering design and construction in particular CAD design, as built engineering and integrity management.
In 1996, Peter set up his own company, ArtrA which consisted of developing software to improve engineering data management and to interface across CAD design modelling, document management and integrity management, for example: corrosion monitoring.
ArtrA has recently been acquired by Amtech Group Ltd to help develop the software to the next level and to ensure the software is utilised across a range of industries within the construction and engineering industry.
The software is called ArtrA and is based around the NavisWorks software which seamlessly interfaces with all major cad packages.
For the last 10 years ArtrA has been used in many industries including petrochemicals, oil and gas, nuclear, building services and power and utilities.
Amtech Group Amtech is the UK market leading manufacturer of specialist software for the building services industry.

Talk Description. As an owner-operator, you may be grappling with the issue of how to do more with your offshore engineering data. However, what happens when it takes you months just to locate your data, or if you are unable to ensure its validity? You’re not alone: owner-operators all over the word are facing this challenge. To compound the problem, many are operating assets that were put in place as far back as the mid-1960s, with input from various production sharing contractors and EPCs. Typically, these assets were handed over with many key documents missing or even incomplete. Furthermore, over the years many modifications and repair works may have been undertaken without the changes being recorded and the data or documents updated. With many owner-operators from the global oil and gas, petrochemical, and power industries now facing the requirement to extend the life of or re-engineer these assets – as well as ensure their integrity and process safety requirements – the issue of asset data management has never been so critical. Intergraph® helps owner-operators deal with these challenges by utilising laser scanning technology developed by Leica Geosystems, which is then made intelligent by next-generation 3D design solution, Smart™ 3D and linked to the structured information and data of the asset in SmartPlant® Enterprise for Owner Operators. This innovative solution allows the owner-operator to see the plant and access its data, without having to visit ‘in person’, saving time and money and avoiding exposure to unnecessary risks. Now you can do more with your engineering data. |
