Courtyard by Marriott Mumbai International Airport

We invite you to register for our "Doing more with E&P Data" conference in Mumbai on Feb 4, where you can get information and ideas not available anywhere else abou the best way to gain value from exploration and production data.

We have speakers confirmed from Reliance, Directorate General of Hydrocarbons and Gujarat State Petroleum Ltd, Teradata, also a former general manager of exploration with ONGC and a former general manager reservoir with ONGC.

The event offers you an opportunity to get a better understanding of ways the oil and gas industry can get a better understanding of the subsurface - leading to finding new reservoirs, better placement of wells and better field development decision. Topics include working with big data, integrating subsurface data with drilling, using data to improve reservoir management, managing E&P data from a regulatory perspective, better ways to work with production data and log data management.

Digital Energy Journal publishes a bimonthly magazine about digital technology in the upstream oil and gas industry and runs conferences on subsurface and operations data in London, Aberdeen, Stavanger, Kuala Lumpur and Mumbai. We have a sister company called Finding Petroleum which runs events on oil and gas exploration.

Early registration tickets are just INR 2000 with academic tickets available. For registration information contact Manish Khari on manish@d-e-j.com

We look forward to seeing you there!

In a diverse, perhaps unique, 29 year career in the E&P sector I have been fortunate to be associated with exploration of no of Indian basins. After working in geophysical data acquisition, like 2D/3D/4D seismic, GM, in the initial stage of career I switched over in mid-career to producing field for improving the oil production followed by adoption of technologies in advanced seismic data processing like PreSDM, AVO/Inversion, Electro-Magnetic (CSEM) & MMT. Also availed this opportunity to work on new technologies of multibeam, soil coring, geotechnical surveys and geochemical analysis. This span also witnessed establishment of Virtual Reality Centres, Real Time Operation Centres for drillin

Duncan Irving is the Teradata Industry Consultant for Oil & Gas in EMEA. Duncan joined Teradata from the University of Manchester where he instructed in geophysical interpretation and geocomputational methods for the last seven years. He was involved in consulting and research projects involving user interactions with massive subsurface datasets and more general upstream data management, and he continues to maintain research links as an honorary lecturer. One long term project was with Teradata and he drove the development of Teradata's capabilities in the Upstream Oil and Gas area. This time provided him with a deep understanding of the capabilities of Teradata and how they can best be used in the petroleum industry.
He is a geophysicist and also has a PhD in glacial geophysics and geotechnical engineering (why frozen ground moves faster during climate warming and how this affects infrastructure). Duncan lives in the hills outside Manchester with his wife and three children. He is a mountaineer, fell runner and is a card-carrying member of the CAMpaign for Real Ale.
