Impiana KLCC Hotel, Kuala Lumpur

We invite you to register for our KL event on October 9 "doing more with offshore engineering data," looking at ways oil and gas companies can do more with data about offshore assets - to monitor and optimise production, maintain asset integrity, and manage supply chains.

Attend this event to:

Learn about Petronas' approach to integrated (onshore-offshore) operations, the architecture of the system, the implementation on the Samarang field, and the workflow methodology.

Learn about how you can get much more out of your engineering information using the ISO 55000 standard, benefits of using e-commerce standards to untangle your supply chain, and better ways to manage asset lifecycle information. Learn about better ways to monitor wells from shore.

15:00 Douwe Franssens - General manager
Independent Data Services (IDS)
case study - how oil and gas companies can do more with engineering data

Watch Video
In his 5th year with IDS, Douwe has been instrumental in migrating traditional desktop and Excel based functions to the web and allowing universal access to operational data. Before joining IDS he spent 18 years with a Halliburton company focusing on Real Time data acquisition and transmission. Combined with the time spent with BosKalis a world leading Dutch dredging company, his career has relocated him to almost every continent, including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UK, Malaysia, USA and Canada.
The IT side of the industry has always fascinated him as a lot of the elements, including connectivity, are never following the accepted norm, which challenges those who implement solutions for clients to have to think outside the box.

Independent Data Services (IDS)
Mission

IDS is committed to transforming data into knowledge by allowing companies to analyse and report on their operational performance.

Vision

To be the leading knowledge management provider in the oil and gas industry as well as other sectors, by not only allowing companies to analyse and report on their operational performance; but also giving them the knowledge to enhance it.
