Thursday, December 1, 2011

XPD8, a UK company offering services to manage maintenance systems in the oil and gas industry, reports that it plans to create 20 new jobs over the next 12 months, which will mean increasing its workforce by 57 per cent, from 35 to 55 staff.

The company says its current order book value is £6.5m. Its service includes a mixture of software and consulting, provided by skilled engineers. It provides systems for oil and gas companies to track maintenance. The service includes collating and validating data, designing a structure for maintenance priorities, analysing spare parts and producing documentation.

The company recevied £2m investment from Maven Capital Partners in 2009.

'The industry's focus on integrity, reliability and maintenance is fuelling demand for our services not just in the mature UKCS but also overseas," says Mark Cavanagh, managing director.

'We operate in a competitive sector but are continuing to win business because of our innovative approach which is based on the latest technologies, bespoke software and a wealth of experience and technical abilities.

The company was founded in 2003.
