APS Technology adds 50,000 square feet

APS Technology is expanding its facilities in Wallingford, Connecticut, for an additional 50,000 square feet of space.

It has signed a lease for a 30,000 square feet facility in Wallingford to assemble its Rotary Steerable Motor (RSM) and Active Vibration Damper (AVD) tools.

It is also starting building of a new 20,000 square foot facility to make its tools for precision machining of high strength stainless steel, to be completed in March 2013.

"APS Technology is one of only a few companies in the world with precision center-boring, deep-hole drilling, robotic rotary stub welding, straightening, hammer peening, roller burnishing, 5-axis milling and turning, lathe turning, honing, and wire EDM all under one roof," said Chris Abbamonte, VP of Operations.
