Austin GeoModelling launches Recon 4.2 geomodelling interpretation software

Friday, July 27, 2012

Subsurface software company Austin GeoModelling has launched a new version of its 3D geological interpretation software, called RECON 4.2.

It aims to address "the technology gap between seismic and 3D modelling software," the company says.

The new version has better workflow flexibility (ie you can use it in different ways) and a better user interface.

"RECON users have demanded more features related to solving problems in data mining, data management, knowledge integration, and advanced geological interpretation," says Robin Dommisse, CEO of AGM.

"AGM has responded by releasing RECON 4.2, which will help our users speed up their workflows and improve their interpretation quality."

There is a new module for horizontal well interpretation; new well placement Workflows using Engineering Data Integration; extended 2D Seismic Visualization Capabilities, and better integration with Landmark OpenWorks software.
