Blueback Reservoir releases Blueback Project Tracker v4.0

Blueback Reservoir, a technology company specializing in providing ocean plug-ins and 3D geomodeling services for the global oil & gas exploration and production industry, announced the release of version 4.0 of the Blueback Project Tracker plug-in for Petrel.

The Blueback Project Tracker is a plug-in for Petrel for data managers to track and monitor Petrel projects from all their Petrel users. Currently, there are more than 45 oil companies worldwide allowing data managers and users to control and manage Petrel projects on their network disks using the Blueback Project Tracker.

Version 4.0 introduces 'Project rule alerts and notifications' where a default set of project rules are supplied to determine if correct data management practices and Petrel project integrity are being followed. The release also presents a 'Seismic file manager' to perform fast searches on network locations for seismic files and a new 'Project manager' allowing data managers to flag specific projects with a list of attributes.

The plug-in product for Petrel is available for download on the Schlumberger Ocean Store (www.ocean.slb.com).
