Energy Industry Operators exceed 500 with OFS Portal Electronic Data Agreement

Tuesday, December 14, 2021

OFS Portal announced that it has now over 500 Energy Industry Operators that have signed the OFS Portal Electronic Data Agreement (EDA).

Operators in the OFS Portal community, include supermajors, NOCs and IOCs; they all benefit from more efficient implementation of electronic transactions with OFS Portal Members, including confidentiality and reliability, and preservation of data ownership.

Supply chain digital integration continues to be a priority for most operators in the industry. 'This milestone of 500 EDAs marks around 25% of all Operators in the energy industry that have now agreed to common data stewardship and use of transactional efficiencies in the supply chain' said Chris Welsh, OFS Portal CEO.

One of OFS Portal's founding members stated, 'This is a major milestone for the industry and for Weatherford, it ensures a standard digital integration process can be used with our global and regional customers and it helps protect our commercial trade secrets as part of the same process' said Shaun Skene, Director Working Capital, Weatherford Intl.

The OFS Portal Community has been working for more than 20 years with global standards and industry organizations to encourage reduced costs through promoting open industry transactional and data standards and the use of cost-effective business processes.
