Energy Navigator recognized among 2013 Technology Stars

Calgary, AB, Canada, November 21, 2013 - Calgary-based Energy Navigator, along with its Value Navigator reserves evaluation system, was named runner-up in the Exploration category of the 2013 Technology Stars award program. Energy Navigator was nominated for the advances it has made in improving the accuracy and speed of unconventional reserves forecasting through a new unconventional forecast methodology and the automatic forecasting capability of its Value Navigator (Val Nav) software.

Technology Stars, an award program initiated in 2010 by Canadian energy publishing house JuneWarren-Nickles, recognizes superior innovation and technical progress in the Canadian oil and gas industry. The best technologies are chosen in categories including Exploration, Drilling, Production and HSE. The judging panel consists of engineers, earth scientists from petroleum producers and/or consulting firms, along with individuals that have extensive experience in the oil and gas service sector.

In an article announcing 2013 Technology Stars winners, New Technology Magazine editor Maurice Smith writes, “Daring to innovate sets apart these Technology Stars leading the industry into a brighter future.” The list of 2013 recipients includes Baker Hughes, Cenovus Energy Inc., Halliburton, Axiine Water Technologies, Schlumberger and NCS Oilfield Services Canada Inc.
