Energy leaders to discuss operations and maintenance practices at Absoft forum

Friday, August 29, 2014

Decision makers from major operators, oilfield service companies and the wider supply chain in the oil and gas sector will discuss operations and maintenance practices within the sector with one of SAP's most experienced partners in upstream oil and gas.

Absoft will host the forum on Thursday, September 4, which will focus on proactive streamlining of corporate maintenance strategies across assets, mobilising plant maintenance (PM) through Neptune designer apps and SAP predictive maintenance and services.

The event, part of a regular series hosted by the Aberdeen-headquartered SAP consultancy, encourages open discussion on best practice amongst operators and supply chain companies.

Senior PM consultant at Absoft, Martin Kelly will give a demonstration on standard operations and maintenance processes, the implementation of governance structures to support common processes and data harmonisation across assets.

Mr Kelly said: 'Our forums allow our clients and other energy sector colleagues to consider the way in which they practice their operations and maintenance. It also allows us to discuss any issues or hot topics within the industry which we may be able to help with or address."

Andreas Sulejewski, Channel Partner Director, Neptune Software will demonstrate and discuss streamlining plant maintenance processes with custom built web apps.

John MacGregor, VP & Head of the Predictive Analytics Centre at SAP will discuss predictive maintenance and services (PDMS) including data management, PDMS components, architecture and outputs, custom development and co-innovation.

The event, which is free to attend, includes a networking lunch and runs from 1.00pm to 4pm at Absoft's headquarters at Davidson House, Campus 1, Aberdeen Innovation Park, Balgownie Road.
