Friday, October 8, 2010

GlobaLogix, an oilfield control and automation company based in Houston, has been ranked No 60 in a list of 500 fastest growing private companies in the US, put together by Inc magazine, on the basis of a three year sales growth of 3,805 per cent.

The company pursues  a vision that an oilfield can run as smoothly as a factory floor. It has recently seen growth from expanding into new regions of the US, particularly the shale gas plays in Pennsylvania and East Texas.

“We are proud to stand among the nation’s most rapidly growing companies in an outlet as prestigious as Inc.,” said GlobaLogix President and CEO James Hamilton. “We will use this distinction to continue propelling GlobaLogix and the upstream oil and gas industry forward."

"We believe that technology and automation is paving the way to more productive and safer operations, and that is what has and will continue to drive our success.”

Companies which have been included on the list in the past (some of which have since gone public) include Microsoft, Zappos, Intuit, GoDaddy, Zipcar, Clif Bar, American Apparel, Oracle,
