Hallin Marine installs $3m subsea infrastructure in Sarawak

Thursday, November 1, 2012

Hallin Marine of Singapore reports that it has completed a $3m subsea infrastructure, umbilicals, risers and flowlines ("SURF") project at the Natuna gas field, Greater Sarawak Basin, Malaysia.

Hallin used its dynamically positioned subsea operations vessel "Ullswater" to lay underwater umbilical connections.

The work included replacement of system components and adding new infrastructure.

It was completed in partnership with an un-named Indonesian contractor.

"The Natuna gas field project involves engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning," says Rik Zwinkels, Managing Director of Hallin's Singapore East Division.

"Ullswater's technical facilities, including saturation diving equipment and in-house built CROVs (remote operated vehicles), were put to full use."
