Intetech receives Queen's Award for well integrity solutions

Wednesday, April 25, 2012

UK well integrity management solutions company Intetech has received a "Queen's Award for Enterprise," from the UK Queen Elizabeth II.

The company has developed a tool for tracking the integrity of oil and gas wells.

The award is specifically given for continuous innovation and development.

Intetech has developed the Well Integrity Toolkit software, which can provide all the critical data needed to evaluate condition of wells.

The system has been in operation since 2006 and serves 15 operations worldwide, to manage over 8,000 wells.

The Queen's Awards for Enterprise are announced annually on 21 April to coincide with The Queen's birthday.

"We are extremely proud to receive the Queen's Award as it is only given for the highest levels of excellence and recognises the fact we've maintained our position as the global leader in the area of corrosion modelling and well integrity management," says Dr Liane Smith (FREng), Director and founder of Intetech.

The company has also developed a "electronic corrosion engineer", a software tool which can analyse how corrosive oil and gas production fluids are to hydrocarbon processing and pipeline transport systems.
