Lukoil Overseas implements new information system

Lukoil Overseas announced that is the latest oil company to integrate the Whereoil Platform into their information management infrastructure. While Whereoil is already used by many oil companies the world over, this is the first installation in Russia.

Russia's first Whereoil installation integrates geological, geophysical and field data for instant information retrieval.

KADME, a provider of information management software and services to the oil and gas industry, has implemented their Whereoil Platform software as the new integration system for Lukoil Overseas Holding LTD ('Lukoil Overseas'). Further expansion is planned for late-2013.

Lukoil Overseas now has high speed access to geological, geophysical and field data from a single unified interface. The Whereoil system enables geologists, geophysicists and reservoir engineers to quickly and simply find data in file shares, interpretation projects such as Petrel and Kingdom, databases Including IHS IRIS, spatial data from ESRI ArcGIS, and online IHS web services.

Results are displayed in a convenient, structured, tabular format.

Furthermore, the system has been integrated with Microsoft's active directories, providing automatic user identification via a single sign-on with strict access control to information.
