Merrick Systems subsidiary in Bogota

Merrick Systems, a Houston company which provides drillpipe RFID tracking, field operations software and reservoir data management tools, has set up a subsidiary in Bogota, Colombia.

It has particularly strong interest in Colombia for its "Merrick Production Manager" software for production management and hydrocarbon accounting, the company says.

The software works well on onshore and offshore, and both conventional and unconventional, and is thus well suited for the Colombian market, the company says.

The company recently opened an office in Oslo, Norway, and has offices planned in Canada and Singapore.
