PNEC "Cornerstone" award to Madelyn Bell and Jess B Kozman

Wednesday, April 25, 2012

This year's "Cornerstone" award, connected with the May 15-17 Houston 2012 Petroleum Network Education Conference (PNEC), will be given to Madelyn Bell, Commercial Data Advisor for ExxonMobil Technical Computing Company in Houston, and Jess B. Kozman, Lead Data Management Practitioner and Consultant, Westheimer Energy Consultants Inc. in Houston.

The chair of the Cornerstone Award selection committee is Fred Kunzinger, Senior Manager of Global Data Management for Hess Corporation, Houston.

Mr Kunzinger said that Madelyn Bell "epitomizes advancing petroleum data management over her career."

"During her career of 35 years in the petroleum industry, Madelyn has applied her vast oil and gas experience productively to the ever-changing world of data and information management, contributed tirelessly to the need for data standards, advised many of her peers on the 'problems of today', and continues to encourage all in this industry to strive for excellence," he said.

"She participated in the earliest stages of building US-wide well files and continues to be a significant quality and completeness proponent for licensed data, holding the data providers accountable to the same high standards to which she holds herself to the benefit of not only her company, but the industry as a whole. "

Mr Kunzinger said that Jess B Kozman "will be recognized for his twenty-seven years of data management best practices during which he has developed many innovations in the global E&P data management sector and shares those best practices with his entertaining style of speaking and active role as a mentor."
