Petrosys promotes Scott Tidemann to CEO

Petrosys, the industry leader in mapping, surface modeling and data management technology for the oil and gas industry, announced that Scott Tidemann has accepted the role of Chief Executive Officer.

His appointment follows recent changes to the Petrosys structure to position the group for growth following its acquisition by Vela Corporation.

Scott has been a key member of the Petrosys team for over 15 years during which time he has worked in multiple locations across the globe, in multiple roles, including senior management, software product management and development, support and services, marketing and sales. He has extensive knowledge of the Petrosys Mapping and Data Management products, as well as the E&P technology industry.

Scott's 20+ years of oil and gas geoscience and software technology background ensures he understands the challenges that industry professionals face. 'Our strategy is to further enhance
Petrosys' technologies based on market needs to improve client's workflows and operational efficiencies, and extending these benefits throughout the world,' he said.

In addition, he is excited and looking forward to bringing new technologies into the Petrosys family.
