Projectiondesign launches 'world's highest resolution 3D single chip projector'

Thursday, November 3, 2011

Projectiondesign of Norway has launched what it claims is the world's highest resolution 3D single chip digital light processing (DLP) projector.

It can display 3D images at 1,920 x 1,200 pixels and 120 Hz.

This means it can display 3D images with more detail than any other projector 'in its size, price and performance category,' the company says.

'With double the image processing speed of competing products, we are able to display pictures that do not rely on compression technologies, thus outputting full image detail and accuracy without artefacts.'

It is designed to be used in scientific visualization, training and simulation applications.
