Renowned U.S. petroleum reserves expert Dr. John Lee joins Energy Navigator

World renowned expert in the field of petroleum reservoir engineering, W. John Lee, Ph.D., Chemical Engineering, has joined the Energy Navigator team as Senior Consulting Engineer.

World renowned expert in the field of petroleum reservoir engineering, W. John Lee, Ph.D., Chemical Engineering, has joined the Energy Navigator team as Senior Consulting Engineer. In his new capacity with Energy Navigator Inc, Dr. Lee will enhance the company's knowledgebase and depth of expertise by conducting independent research in reservoir engineering for unconventional resources, and by mentoring Energy Navigator technical and engineering staff. Drawing on his past experience as the principal architect of the modernized SEC rules for reporting oil and gas reserves, Dr. Lee will be available to Energy Navigator clients for consultations and advice on reserves and reporting for SEC compliance.

Dr. W. John Lee has been a leader in the oil and gas reserves industry for over five decades. Author of four textbooks published by the Society of Petroleum Engineers, Dr. Lee has received numerous awards from that organization, including the Lucas Medal, the DeGolyer Distinguished Service Medal and the Society's highest recognition - Honorary Member. He served as an Academic Engineering Fellow with the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) and headed Exxon Company's U.S. Major Fields Study Group, where he supervised integrated field studies of Exxon's largest domestic reservoirs. Dr. Lee is Professor of Petroleum Engineering and holder of the Cullen Distinguished University Chair at The University of Houston and holds BS, MS and PhD degrees in chemical engineering from The Georgia Institute of Technology.
