SPE Abu Dhabi and ADNOC workshop on oil and gas data management

The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Abu Dhabi section, together with Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), is running a workshop on oil and gas data management in Abu Dhabi on May 30-31, 2012.

It will cover all aspects of oil and gas data management, including subsurface, geographical information systems (GIS) and surface facilities.

There will be a range of sessions where users talk about their problems for 20 mins, followed by service providers talking about their solutions for 20 mins, followed by domain experts talking about "trends and directions and sharing the vision" for 20 minutes.

Session titles include: Strategies - E&P Data Management; Strategies - Knowledge Management; Strategies - Engineering Data Management ; Best Practices E&P Data Governance - Standards; Policies & Processes; Trusting Your Data - Data Quality Management and Integrity; Optimizing Your Data Workflow - Acquisition; Access, Delivery, Visualization and Analytics; Business Intelligence Value - Executive Management Decision Support; Data Warehousing, Data Mining, Mass data storage, National Data Repository.
