Schlumberger and Petrofac subsurface / surface "co-operation"

Friday, January 6, 2012

Schlumberger's "Integrated Energy Services" and "Production Management" divisions have signed a co-operation agreement with oil engineering company Petrofac.

The two companies plan to work together and deliver integrated projects in the "production services and production enhancement market".

The integrated offering will combine Schlumberger's subsurface, well and production engineering expertise, with Petrofac's surface facility design expertise.

The aim is to provide a service which can optimise the running of an asset over its lifetime, incorporating both subsurface and surface.

'Schlumberger's subsurface knowledge, production engineering, well construction and project management services coupled with Petrofac's surface facility design, installation and ongoing operational field management create a life-of-field approach coupled with a performance-focused commercial model to optimize asset development and overall value,'

'Schlumberger and Petrofac share a common global culture," says Miguel Galuccio, president, Schlumberger Production Management.

The companies will "provide a one-stop shop for clients in emerging field development and asset management services.'
