Talk Description
The conventional approach to digital technology - perhaps we can say - is about a company spending money on a software package which promises to do a great deal of different things.

This approach has worked well in many ways - but may also lead to the problems which we sometimes see today - such as systems which are too complex, don't incorporate people's knowledge based on experience, don't interoperate well with other systems, and are too inflexible.

So maybe we need a different approach to digital technology - in order to provide production engineers with software tools which can better help them to manage production, make decisions about interventions, and prioritise.
